Surfest is pleased to announce that Newcastle’s premier yoga studio Yoga Body Works will be a part of Surfest 2014.
Who are they? ‘At Yoga Body Works we are proud of our spacious, light-filled yoga studio that is host to heated and unheated yoga classes, workshops and trainings. We provide a non-competitive space, which aims to unite you, the student, with a highly qualified, professional team of instructors in order to guide you through Yang (Power) & Yin styles of Yoga; the perfect blend for professional surfers. Yin yoga is calming, centering and releases connective tissue surrounding the joint, Power Yoga tones, strengthens and clarifies your whole system ‘
Karl and qualified teachers from Yoga Body Works will be available for all Surfest competitors, before and after heats, at Merewether Beach from February 17 to 23. Also, for the duration of Surfest, all professional competitors are invited to participate in yoga classes free of charge at their purpose built studio at Level 1, 204 King Street, Newcastle, 2300 (above the Salt Therapy Centre between Darby & Crown Streets).
Additionally, Yoga Body Works will hold a Yoga class for all, on Merewether Beach, Saturday 22nd of February at 6am.
