As an Official Accommodation Provider of Surfest 2022, Holiday Inn Express Newcastle is providing accommodation to Surfest participants and organisers and in celebration of the partnership, the hotel is showcasing a surfboard gifted to Surfest founder Warren Smith from world champion surfer Mark Richards in the hotel’s bar during the festival.
According to Holiday Inn Express Newcastle Hotel Manager, Rob Fahey, the partnership cements the hotel’s commitment to the local region.

Surfest is a free surfing event that takes place at Merewether Beach from 28 March to 3 April and features over 800 male and female surfers competing from the Asia-Pacific region.
