FINAL CALL FOR SURFEST WOMENS CROWD FUNDERS
The final 17 positions are available to local businesses and individuals to be part of the 2020 Surfest Women’s Pro.
Surfest 2020 marks 35 years of the iconic Newcastle sporting event and the 5th year that the region’s business community has crowd funded to enable the women’s event to be held.
This year, the prize money for the women’s event will also be the same as the men’s.
There will be opportunity for 97 organisation or individuals to contribute $1,750 plus GST.
The initiative began in 2015 when local business banker, Col Law, developed a crowdfunding idea and then worked with Warren Smith and a number of local business people, to develop to fund the event, ensuring that Newcastle’s iconic Surfest would provide world-class opportunity for women in the sport.
