MORE than 50 surfers entered the Burton Automotive Surfest Wildcard Trials held at Birubi Point at Port Stephens on Saturday 18 February.
The trials were held in small conditions fanned by north-east winds.
Surfers were aiming for free wildcard entries into Surfest events, with the jewel in the crown of the day being free entry into the main seeded rounds of the WSL rated QS5000 Burton Automotive Pro and the WSL rated QS5000 Speaking in Colour Womens Pro.
Wildcard entries were also available into the nationally rated Sanbah Cadet Cup U/16 years boys and girls divisions and the U/14 years boys and girls divisions.
