Evolution Business + Personal Advisers and Vision Development Services have been drawn as the naming rights partner for next year’s Newcastle Surfest QS2000 event at Merewether Beach.
The Evolution Men’s Pro & Vision Development Services Women’s Pro will be the second event of the 2027 Surfest festival which culminates with the final stop on the World Surf League Challenger Series from March 1-7.
Surfest Event Director, Warren Smith, thanked the 30 plus businesses who had contributed to the crowdfunding initiative which is now in its eleventh year.
“Evolution Business + Personal Advisers have been a part of Surfest for more than 15-years now and have continually stepped forward to help make the event what it is today.
“To also have a first time crowdfunding partner in Vision Development Services shows the continued growth of the initiative and willingness of local businesses to get behind the event.
“The decision to include a qualifying series event as part of Surfest in 2027 is our way of ensuring a pathway exists for the next generation to progress in the world of professional surfing.”
Director at Evolution Business + Personal Advisers, Jo Bright, said Evolution was proud to extend its long standing relationship with Surfest.
“Evolution has been involved since 2010 over many different events and we’re incredibly proud to be a part of the festival,” Bright said
“Surfest is part of our business philosophy, we hold very tight to our local roots, we believe in employing locals, we believe in servicing the local community and we believe in giving back to the community.

Vision Development Services Director, Nick Whitton, said he was delighted to be affiliated with the long standing Surfest festival.
“It is a great event to be a part of. We’ve been lucky enough to be a small piece in the puzzle in the Evolution Charity Cup previously and it is great to be onboard with the team at Surfest,” Whitton said.
“Vision Development Services is a boutique development and project management service with expertise in commercial, residential, and industrial projects.”
The Evolution Men’s Pro & Vision Development Services Women’s Pro will take place at Merewether Beach from 29 – 31 January. The final day of the event will be livestreamed on worldsurfleague.com
