Newcastle Now High Schools Teams Challenge

From Byron Bay to Moruya, more than 20 high schools from throughout New South Wales will set to converge on Newcastle for the 2012 Newcastle Now High Schoosl Teams Challenge.

Celebrating its 11th year in 2012, this unique contest is open to all schools that participate in the NSW Department of Education school surfing program.

Unlike contests that focus on individual performance, this event offers a bonus points system that rewards a team for working together and formulating strategy to maximise scoring potential.

Accreditation is not required to take photos at the event.

Media accreditation is only required by media representatives who require access to the citadel that houses the organiser's offices, ASP offices, judges, announcers and competitors' rest and relaxation area.

Access to this area is available to media representatives who can demonstrate a significant track record of publication in a manner that is likely to enhance the profile of the event.

Media accreditation will be available to successful applicants at the event from March 7, 2012.

High-resolution digital images and vision for newspapers, TV and Internet sites will be available FOC via Surfests media department.
